The NCOC wants to take a school summer holidays starting July 18th

ISLAMABAD: (Monitoring Desk) The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has recommended take all educational institutions and school summer holidays beginning on July 18. According to a source in The News, the NCOC has requested to take the duration of school summer holidays from July 18 to August 1. The Punjab administration, on the other hand, has rejected the proposal and instead requested that schools be closed from July 2 to August 2.

The Inter-Provincial Education Conference (IPEC), led by Education Shafqat Mehmood, will make a final decision on the case. According to the information, an IPEC meeting will be scheduled soon to make a final decision.

During the third coronavirus wave, the Punjab government stated in May that schools across the province will have shorter summer vacations as part of a new academic plan being considered by the provincial administration.

According to Punjab Education Minister Murad Raas, pupils have suffered a lot as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, thus summer holidays in schools would only last two to three weeks. Raas also stated that the government is aware of the challenges that children face as a result of the weather, and that in the event of an emergency, the authorities will respond appropriately.
