In Bahawalnagar incident 2 people were died and more than 50 injured in Muharram procession

BAHAWALNAGAR: (Monitoring Desk) A cracker attack attacked a Muharram gathering in Bahawalnagar incident on Thursday afternoon, killing two people and injuring over 50 others, according to information.

According to police, the accident happened while a Muharram procession was going through Bahawalnagar’s City Chowk location.

The medical superintendent of DHQ Bahawalnagar said that 2 people were died in the Bahawalnagar incident, and that the injured had been shifted to various hospitals throughout the city. A police force responded in the vicinity after the explosion and started a search. One suspect has been apprehended.

Usman Buzdar, the Chief Minister of Punjab, took notice of the tragedy, expressed his sympathies for the loss of life, and directed the Inspector General of Punjab to take urgent action and arrest the perpetrators.

Following the event, the chief minister and the province law minister went to the Safe City Authority to examine the control room. He was informed on the Bahawalnagar attack and the CTD and police forces’ actions there. After launching a search operation and investigating the case into the occurrence, the chief minister directed the CTD to submit a report.
