All provincial Government to ban plastic bags: Zartaj Gul
Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul has said that he want all provincial governments to ban plastic bags. The population of the world is increasing at dangerous high rate. The ban on plastic bags in Islamabad has been praised in the capital and across the country. There are almost 7500 glaciers in Pakistan. Our glaciers are melting due to the changing in climate.
Zartaj Gul said that the research in Pakistan identify the conflict of politicians. He convert the attention of the people to the climate changing. Hopefully people will understand how difficult this pen is. How difficult it is to work in the Ministry of Climate Change to achieve your goals. The population of the world is increasing at dangerous high rate. Man-made activities around the world are emitting greenhouses gases that are causing our planet’s temperature to rise rapidly. Due to which climate change is also happening. The climate change will cause climate patterns to intensify so much that we are not even mentally prepared for it. Research in Pakistan says that there will be a problem of flood in one country, there will be a problem of storms in another country, there will be a problem of heat wave in another country.
Our groundwater has gone below 1200 feet. Migration is taking place in Pakistan, when water is not available , we will take over the cities. Our Ministry has approved a program called recharge Pakistan. In the recharge program, we will somehow recharge out land with rain water. There is no water table table regulatory authority in Pakistan. The water table in Pakistan is going down because everyone is pumping from ground and there is no regulation on it. I said we set up a water table regulatory authority called WADRA and for the first time we taxed it. The regulatory authority will determine where we have to bore and where we have to build industry, but the summary is circulating from two years because it has a lot of stakeholders. .
