Pakistan seeks an immediate end to the Israeli killing during an extraordinary OIC summit

ISLAMABAD (Monitoring Desk) In an emergency meeting called by the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Sunday, Pakistan asked the international community to take action to stop the Israeli-led killing in Gaza. Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi delivered a speech at the meeting in which he chastised Israel for its dictatorial actions, including destroying Gaza and killing dozens of children.

The foreign ministry blasted Israel for “violating human rights laws in Gaza.” “The attack on Palestinians is also illegal under international law.

The minister blamed the Israeli army for killing unarmed Palestinians and said it was up to the international community to take meaningful steps to end the Palestinian killing.

Pakistan strongly condemns Israel’s aggression,” he said. “Israel’s aggression in Gaza must come to an end right away. The OIC was also appreciated for convening an emergency conference to protest Israeli abuses in the region, according to the foreign ministry.

Medics in the Palestinian enclave say 10 members of a single extended family were killed in an Israeli air attack on the western Gaza Strip a day earlier. According to medical authorities, 8 children and 2 women were murdered when a three-story structure in the Shati refugee camp collapsed after an Israeli strike.

Muhammad al-Hadidi, the father of 4 of the children, said outside Shifa hospital in Gaza City that he wanted “the unjust world to see these crimes.

When Hattab’s home fell, both Hadidi and his brother-in-law and host, Mohammad Abu Hattab, were away. The baby of the Abu Hattabs, who was five months old at the time, was also saved.

Since the start of the aerial assaults on Monday, Israeli aeroplanes have hit a number of sites in Gaza.
