India is puzzled by the adoption of a statement by the OIC on Kashmir

NEW DELHI (Monitoring Desk) India is embarrassed by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC)’s adoption of a resolution on Kashmir and says that, at the request of Pakistan, the OIC has issued a declaration in favor of Kashmir. The Indian Foreign Ministry has attempted to alleviate its fears in New Delhi, according to the Kashmir Media Service, by stating that the resolutions passed at the 47th meeting of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in Niamey contained false, unfounded and unnecessary facts about India. Strongly deny citations. Says Indian Foreign Ministry statement reflects stern statement of OIC on Kashmir to Modi government’s bafflement and frustration.

The statement of OIC on Kashmir forced the Muslim Forum of India to propose that it refrain from making such references in the future. The Indian statement said that it was unfortunate that a specific nation was using the Muslim institution (there is a clear reference to Pakistan). India called on India to change the internationally recognized disputed status of unlawfully occupied Indian Jammu and Kashmir on 5 August 2019 at the 47th meeting of the OIC Foreign Council, held in Niamey, Niger, from 27 to 29 November. Since then the unconstitutional and unilateral steps taken have been denied categorically and India has been asked to revoke its illegal measures.
