As hundreds of thousands mass protest in London, 9 people have been arrested

Following continued protest in London, at least 9 individuals were jailed on Sunday. A group from Extinction Rebellion unloaded a truck of manure outside the Kensington headquarters of numerous national newspapers from about 6:40 AM. They climbed scaffolding and hung banners while holding signs that read “free the press” and “cut the bullshit.”

The identical action was tried anywhere else in London, outside the offices of the Daily Telegraph, but police prevented it before the manure could be deposited. We detained five people for an infraction under Section 148 of the Highways Act, the Metropolitan Police stated. Four of the five were also detained on charges of criminal damage during the protest in London.
