Well know religious scholar and his driver killed: Karachi

KARACHI-(Monitoring desk) Maulana Dr. Adil Khan, son of the late Maulana Saleemullah Khan, former head of the Madrassa Federation, superintendent of Karachi Farooqia University and member of the Working Committee of the Pakistan Arab Madrassa Federation, and his driver were killed in an assassination attempt in Karachi Shah Faisal Colony. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah took notice of Maulana Adil ‘s death and ordered IG Sindh Police to quickly arrest the attackers.

Unidentified motorcyclists opened fire on a double-cabin vehicle near Shama Shopping Center in Karachi’s Shah Faisal Colony No. 2 region, according to information. Maulana Adil, superintendent of the University of Farooqia, and driver Maqsood Ahmed were injured as a result. While the driver was moved to Jinnah Hospital, Maulana Adil was admitted to a private hospital. Maulana Adil, the spokesman for the private hospital, and Dr Sami Jamali confirmed the death of the driver. Maulana Adil was given two bullets, according to hospital information, one of which struck him in the neck.

The son of the late Maulana Saleemullah Khan was Maulana Dr. Adil Khan. The chief of the Federation of Madrassas of Pakistan was Maulana Salimullah, while the superintendent of the Farooqia University of Karachi and a leader of the Federation of Arab Madrassas’ working committee was Maulana Dr. Adil Khan. Following the incident, a heavy contingent of police and Rangers arrived the location. The injured were transported to the hospital in a Vigo ambulance, according to SSP Korangi Faisal Abdullah Chachar. Shells were returned from the scene that had been captured.

According to DSP Syed Ali Raza of Shah Faisal Colony, when the incident was reported, he was on duty in the region in association with the Chehlum tragedy in Karbala. According to Ali Raza, they found out when they arrived the scene that the injured were transferred to the hospital immediately. After the incident, a heavy contingent of police and Rangers reached the spot and the incident is being investigated with the assistance of CCTV cameras in the area.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah took note of Maulana Adil ‘s death and ordered IG Sindh Police to immediately arrest the accused. The Sindh Chief Minister claimed in his statement that the arrest of the accused should be carried out immediately with the help of technology, some people want to disrupt the peace of the region. The Sindh Chief Minister, expressing solidarity with the family and associates of Maulana Adil, assured him that the government will bring the accused to justice. IG Sindh Mushtaq Ahmed Mehr told Shah Faisal Colony of the shooting of a vehicle and immediately sought SSP Korangi ‘s information on all the necessary matters and measures taken to arrest the accused involved in the incident.
