ISLAMABAD (Monitoring Desk) In light of the large number of corona virus cases particularly in educational institutions, the federal government has decided to holidays in educational institutions across the country as of 26 November. During this period, however, home-based education will continue. Under the chairmanship of Federal Minister Asad Umar, a review meeting of the NCOC was held on Monday, in which in addition to Federal Minister of Education Shafqat Mahmood, provincial representatives engaged via video link.
The meeting was advised that the highest number of corona virus in Pakistan is 7.46%. The positive rate in Azad Kashmir was 11.45% and it was 7.73% in Balochistan. The positive rate in Gilgit was reported to be 5.23 percent. It was 8.09% in Islamabad. It was announced that 9.85 percent is the optimistic rate in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It was 3.95% in Punjab and 9.63% in Sindh.
It has been recorded that most of the Corona cases in Punjab are in Rawalpindi, Multan, Lahore and Faisalabad, although there are more Corona cases in Karachi and Hyderabad in Sindh. Peshawar, Abbottabad and Swat are more affected than Corona in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. There are also more instances of Corona Virus in Islamabad, Gilgit and Mirpur.
2155 corona virus patients have been admitted to hospitals, according to the NCOC. The number of patients with corona virus disease doubled within two weeks. On a daily basis, 35 patients have died since last week. According to the NCOC, the number of cases of the corona virus in educational institutions has risen dramatically. Before the reopening of the academy, there will be a summary meeting on 11 January.
